From the regular person that uses makeup now and then, to the makeup addict, we all make these makeup mistakes. Discussing these common mistakes will make up more conscious so that we can avoid them.

Trying to make a perfect wing by stretching: Some of us tend to stretch the area around the eyes as we apply our eyeliner in order to achieve a perfectly drawn wing. This practice is not in anyway good because it does serious damage to sensitive skin as well as rid the skin of that area of its elasticity. You should note that stretching will even make it impossible to get a perfect line accordingly.

Applying pencil on the entire brow: This is another one of the mistakes we make. It makes it difficult to smooth blend the brow and achieve a natural shape. When you apply lines on the entire brow, the outcome is usually unnatural with the lines just sitting there on the brow. Instead, use a pencil color that has a slightly lighter shade to the color of your hair, and then use a brush to blend out.
Using too much blush: using blush on the lower cheek is wrong and will make your face look off. Well application of blush on the right part of the cheek will add a nice finishing to the face. When applying blush to the apples of the cheeks, it is advised to use contouring brush for perfect outcome

Lipstick on bare lips: It’s a mistake to apply lipstick on the lips without first applying a moisturizer or ointment if you want the lip color to stay on long enough. Some of us are used to applying a dab of foundation or primer on the lips right before applying the lipstick, but unfortunately, this practice also rides the lips of the luscious look and gives more crust. So, the best bet is to use a light facial moisturizer or ointment.

Applying foundation with fingers or sponge: when you use a sponge to apply your foundation, a good percentage of the foundation ends up being soaked in the sponge, plus you get an uneven outcome. The best thing is a good foundation brush for an even and smooth coverage.

Testing makeup foundation on wrong skin areas: Some of us test foundation on wrists when out testing for the right foundation for us. It is a mistake to test foundation on your hands or wrist because you may end up buying a darker shade for your face since the complexion of the face is almost always lighter than the wrist. The best spot for testing your foundation is on the cheek, yes, right on your face. And the best one to choose is always that formula that disappears on the face.
